why iLiveHere?

After I started writing iLiveHere, I was asked by few of my friends, why about yourselves? why not general? why revealing the unstated? why not about others? If iLiveHere uncovers the secrets why not writing a regular post? Why am I occasional in writing?

Even more mind boggling was one of my good friend's line stating, "Write for self and have no public, write for public and have no self".

My god..what a heavy line is this!!!

I remember this line by heart, only to understand all the meanings hidden in it. I completely understand that, me writing this blog actually violates both the clauses in this line. :) I also confess, there are many more meanings in the line which are hidden and may not be demystified by my poor mind forever.

But following may be my genuine attempt of explaining all these 'why's

iLiveHere - is not only about what/how we cook, and four walls of my house.
It's about,
the minds and hearts,
second home of four idiots in Bangalore,
M's perception of the things happening,
how we conquer the issues,
giving and accepting feedbacks,
improving every sole,
overcoming reluctance to change,
adjustments,
not how we grow overnight but how we grow with every good experience and so is occasional,
learning to not fight every battle but to fight and win the war.

Finally this is about LIVING.

Talking general has never been interesting, and to add to it I am not a philosopher :)

I honestly don't know how to demarcate this writing. May be for public or for self.
After a thought I think this is rather for "public in ourselves" and also for "self in every public".

At iLiveHere [at home] we discuss and emphasize on entrepreneurship and ideas that will fly in market. We [though not frequently] also discuss about new technologies, and stories of entrepreneurs.

Just to supplement that I would share some of the discussions which have happened amongst ourselves.

Other day S, C and M were walking in their area at evening time. Then they realized that there is no Vada Pav center near by BTM. Digging a bit they also went ahead and thought about Goli Vada Pav bringing in BTM [they mean franchisee].

After discussing with N these four together realized that there can be many such things like even Subway isn't there near by and can bring a good entrepreneurship option for staring.

One fine evening M and N coming from MG Road, standing in front of FORUM Mall Kormangala, waiting for signal to get green. M told N that see the ad posters on Mall and these guys would be earning a lot from the poster only.
Then N said, " Yeah and why should I see the same ad on the poster for such a long time. We can make it digital and change it in every 30 seconds or so".
After some discussion, standing at the same point, we were literally calculating the budget and reachability of the posters, making them static content posters to digital screens.
Then N said we can fix LCD projectors for each poster and that will keep rolling the screens, which will bring down the cost of changing the paper screens every time subscription ends and many more places to cut the cost.

These and many more wild thoughts about softwares as well. I think these ideas can be very well converted to business model, if thought out properly.

So iLiveHere is like a factory of innovation and discoveries. May it be "Poha in Shudha ghee" or "LCD projectors at every big poster", which I think after sharing to public can be useful for others as well. Although it completely depends on the individual how to take it forward.
I think, this blog opens doors to personal lives of few future CEOs.

A few may (dis)agree, all of which iLiveHere takes positively.

iLiveHere continues with pride ...

Poha @ night 2 am and at 8 am Nijagal Betta Trek :)

Saturday 16th Jan '10 Time : 12 am.
We (S, N, M) were feeling hungry and thought of preparing something to eat. We went in kitchen discovered that there was raw Poha lying in one of the containers. But the utensils were not washed, then S cut onion, potato and N washed some utensils.
Then we realized that there were some small insects in Poha. S said they are few, N said they can be removed, I was sure they were more than the number of the Poha pieces and can't be more positive thinker to eat Poha. Then I washed poha for 4-5 times and removed all the insects (to the best of my eyes can see)....and fortunately all the insects were black in color ...thats what I could see...no comments about other colors... :) coz...we have digested that now
Were not these problem enough to solve till 12.30 am. I kept the Pan on gas and then foolishly all the three realized that there was no oil in the oil can. wow ...wow ...wow...

To do or not to do .....
Ha ha ha ....nope we are the ppl who will find some way out...saw the "Shuddha Ghee" bottle, and started looking at each other...
Yes, after 15 min Poha was ready to eat and this was the first time three of us have ever had Poha made in "shuddha ghee" ...it was past 2 am when Poha eating program was over.

Till 3 am discussions were around what to do on Sunday and around 4 am it was decided to go for trekking Nijagal betta 60 km away from Bangalore on Tumkur Road. It was decided to leave from home at 6 am.
Horrible cold it was!!! ..and we realized slightly after we left home at 6.30 am.
Reached Nijagal Betta at around 8 am ..started trekking ...was looking something like this snap.
This actually came out to be a very good trek.

There was an ancient temple on the top:

A closer look :

This was one of the awesome stop on the trek...
In the interest of maintaining the Photographic privacy ...just sharing my snap ...otherwise S and N also copied my pose at the same location.

We could see a beautiful view of train ..from betta top ( hill top :-) ) ....
This was the one M clicked :)

Finally, we came down at 10 am... and started bikes and were hungry....

knowing that there was a KAMAT restaurant near by...
We ate there and came back in city...the traffic in city was so bad that ..we even forgot that we were coming back from a nice trek...

Thus, after long time weekend was happening, dynamic, and adventurous.
Thanks to S and N...

Mr S bought a new mobile

Hey, iLiveHere is something about my living place, my flat-mates and fun we guys have here. There are four of us, C, M, N, S. My name starts with M :-) I/we also have plan to keep sharing the fun part (only) on this link.
And the fun topic here for this post is "S has bought a mobile nokia 5230"
So finally, S has bought a new mobile. Ha ha ha after I guess over a year to take decision and over a year of arguments and discussions, it has finally came to an end with this mobile. S, Im so happy for your mobile not for u (sorry abt that). Hope I would also get to use it sometimes anyways its not very great.

I wanted S to buy, some other phone which will suit him like iPhone or Nexus one, which i could use for some of my time pass work as well. But unfortunately S has got that cute, bore and hopeless mobile. But u know what, N played a very important role in convincing S for buying this handset. Sometimes I feel that N is an agent of that nokia store near our home, "sala, always bolata hai waha se kharido"

Recently C also has bought a similar, costlier mobile (nokia 5800) without any discussions with other three. C happens to be a person who always gets the best deals out in market(or we think so). But now S argues to have a almost same handset for lower cost. So does this mean that S has got a better deal? Has N forced that to happen? Why didn't S go for some other mobile? Why mobile similar to C?
Can these questions answered?
